When Do You Get Work Done?

I have some friends who do a wonderful job of staying on a schedule when working from home. 

That never seems to work for me... type

I tend to find that I am at my most productive after midnight... anyone else a night owl?

If I don't stay on a schedule, nothing gets done.  Summer almost did me in!  Now that school's back in, I have my schedule back.  I get the kids fed and off to school, I spend 1 hour cleaning THEN I can sit down at the computer.  Otherwise, it's like the day is gone and the kids are home and my house is still trashed.

If I have errands, I also have to go do those before I can start checking email, facebook, etc. Getting out and about early really sets a more efficient tone for my day.

I like the idea of getting certain things done before you can check email or Facebook.  Unfortunately, FB tends to suck me in and my day is gone.  eek

I also have a hard time managing my schedule at home. The kid is always looking for attention and I alway get distracted by things I need to do, like the dishes, the laundry, the cleaning, the cooking. And before I know it, I'd be too damn tired and spent. The only thing I can manage is a little bit of work here and there.
